Do I need to be a Central Station to use your software? (top)
No! We have a software solution for all security professionals whether you are your own Central Station monitoring your own accounts or whether you are an Alarm Dealer.

What is the benefit of buying Millennium versus the off-the-shelf/generic product? (top)
Most off the shelf accounting programs are great but are too generic for the Security Alarm Industry. As a Security Alarm Professional, you have some specific requirements for an accounting software package to work for your business needs. Micro Key Software was developed for Security Alarm Professionals by Security Alarm Professionals. Some highlights of our Millennium Management Software are:

· Single point entry system
· Track your customer’s Central Station data, like CSID Numbers,
  Zones, People to Call, etc.
· Simplified Recurring Revenue
· Ability to print Past Due amount with your recurring revenue.
· Automatic Late Fee Generation
· Link your Service and Accounting.

Is training required if I buy Millennium? (top)
No! Training is always recommended for any software application to maximize your product knowledge and usage.

Do you offer training? (top)
Yes! Micro Key has a state of the art training facility at our headquarters in Kissimmee, Florida. We also accommodate on-site training requests.

Is your product UL Listed? (top)
Micro Key Software’s products have been UL and ULC since 1994.

How does Micro Key Millennium’s Central Station Automation compare to your competitor’s? (top)
Micro Key Software has a true 32 Bit Windows Application. Micro Key's Millennium Series Modules has an Embedded Sybase SQL Anywhere database.  This means you do not have to purchase an external database. This also means that Microsoft critical updates will never affect or disconnect your database from your Monitoring Application. We do not synchronize with any external applications like some of our competitors and say that they are a single point entry application when they are really doing synchronizations which sometimes fail. We have a truly single entry point application. One 800 telephone number to call for all your technical support needs whether it is your database, monitoring application, accounting or service application. With Micro Key's Millennium Software you will only need one network to run your entire company. Also, our system is Windows based so a UNIX Administrator (which by the way are very expensive and hard to find) is not necessary.

Is a technical support contract mandatory? (top)
A Technical Support contract is not mandatory although it is recommended.

Can I buy technical support as I go? (top)
Technical Support is available on a call by call basis with a credit card.

Why should I buy technical support? (top)
There are many reasons to purchase on-going-Technical Support but to name a few:

1. Technical assistance by our highly trained support staff.
2. FREE Product Upgrades. We upgrade our products often and being on support you are ensured you will always have everything you need to handle your business today.
3. Acceptance into the Micro Key Yahoo User’s Group to network with other Alarm Professionals just like yourself!

Why to you use a Sybase database? (top)
SQL Anywhere Server is an enterprise caliber database that scales to hundreds of concurrent users, hundreds of gigabytes of data, containing hundreds of millions of rows. Yet its many features enabling zero-administration ensure that it also scales down to smaller environments with little or no onsite IT. support. This makes SQL Anywhere Server ideal for ISVs selling solutions to customers who come in a range of shapes and sizes.
