In early March 2013, MKS hosted its 20th Users Conference at the beautiful Gaylord Palms Hotel and Convention Center in Kissimmee, FL.
The theme of this year’s conference was “Mission Possible with Micro Key”. There were over 130 attendees as well as 9 event sponsors.
Each year, MKS’ staff dedicates themselves to planning the best event possible. We want to ensure that our Millennium Management and our Millennium Monitoring customers are able to walk away with some great new software features, in-depth training, and a better understanding of the Millennium Software to benefit their security alarm company.
The conference started off with a great welcome reception, which was a great chance for the MKS team to connect again with our customers from all over the world.
Wednesday morning started off with the opening session that included speeches from CFO/COO Joe Ligouri and President Victoria Ferro and of course featured a few fun surprises that MKS is known for delivering.
Victoria Ferro, recapped some of the important highlights from MKS’s past year, including:
- New Website – new fresh appearance that clearly outlines our product offerings for alarm dealers and central stations
- New staff additions to multiple departments – new growth for implementation, Tech Support and programming
- Over 500 enhancement/updates to our Millennium Management and Monitoring Modules
- There were some major updates with General Ledger, Communications Module, Smart Scheduling, Web Tech and much more!
Also, new with conference this year were some great guest speakers, new Training Track and the first annual Unsung Hero Award.
The week of training concluded with a great night out at Fat Fish Blue Comedy Club and Restaurant. Customers and staff enjoyed great food, drinks and some very funny, improv based comedy.
The feedback from customers was incredible on all levels. Ivan Shawvan from Fleenor Security commented that, “You get meet other users and find out things that they might be doing that you are not….and it’s always great to come down and spend time with MKS people.”
For more testimonials from attendees are available as well as a video recap of the event.
